LMTI Admission

LMTI will admit students to its various courses as per declared schedules every year. For the pre-sea marine engineering course, applications will be called from Liberian high school graduates aged 18-26 years from all counties and put through a rigorous entrance test and medical fitness tests. Those who clear the tests are shortlisted for interviews and a final selection is done. Application form for the pre-sea course will be opened with due notice.

For the Short courses( Post sea STCW courses), the schedule of courses will be put up on this site and bookings may be done using the application form available here. Eligible candidates will be contacted for processing their booking and for payment of fees.

Registering on this site or applying through this site does not automatically guarantee a seat in this Institute or its courses.

Candidates undergo a stringent selection procedure after initial screening of those nominated by DEO and Principal / Headmaster of high schools.

Selected candidates will not have to pay for the training fees and living expenses while in the campus except for personal effects. LMTI will bear these costs for the first two years of the Associate Degree training. In case of any candidate who suffers relegation or has to do extra term for completion of course, these charges will have to be paid to the Institute in advance of the semester.

For the modular course, each candidate will have to deposit the course fees applicable before the commencement of the course. The latest course fee structure will be announced by the Institute and posted on the website.
